Free Family Day
1-4 p.m. July 13. Jepson Center, 207 W. York St. Telfair Museums will host a Free Family Day at the Jepson Center as part of its monthly Free Family Days series. This month's theme is "Making Connections," based on the Telfair's exhibition, "New York Accents," which is currently on display. Families can discover the Telfair's connections to New York and learn how to make connections with the world around them through interactive games, storytelling and art projects.
'About Face' - The Narrative Portrait
July 12 through Aug. 2. DCA Cultural Arts Gallery, 9 W. Henry St. The city of Savannah Cultural Arts Gallery presents the collaborative works of Angela Burson, Christine Sajecki, Greg Eltringham, Patrick McKinnon, Adrienne Stein, Anelecia Hannah, Troy Wandzel, Jeff Markowsky, Stephen Cefalo, Jude Harzer and Melinda Borysevicz in "About Face" - The Narrative Portrait. This exhibit opens to the public July 12 and runs through Aug. 2. The opening reception will be held Friday, July 19 from 5-7 p.m. at the DCA Cultural Arts Gallery.
'Sixty Shades of Blue'
Through July 15. Blick Art Supply, 318 E. Broughton St. The Sixty Shades Show is a one-of-a-kind exhibition showcasing the unique talent of Nicky Soh, a graduate student at SCAD majoring in Sequential Art and Illustration. In the past, Nicky has worked on collaborative projects with Mattel as a storyboard artist, and Microsoft Game Studios as an art director. The show draws from a collection of Nicky's personal illustrations that took a year to finish, in a completely unique East-meets-West style.
Savannah Art Association presents Summer Show
July and August. The Hospice Savannah Art Gallery, 1352 Eisenhower Drive. Hospice Savannah Art Gallery presents the Savannah Art Association's Summer Show during July and August. The 10 members representing the Association are Margaret Clay, Barbara Gentry, Sue Gouse, Margie Sone Gravina, Bobbie Kraft, Carol Lasell, Martha Love, Grace Rohland, Andrea Stark and Sue Vertullo. Opening reception will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. July 11.

Through December. City Hall Rotunda. The photography exhibition by Jamie Rose Farreh will present a series of photographs titled "Savannah Squares by Night." The exhibition explores, through the medium of night photography, Savannah's squares and the architecture surrounding the green spaces. Highlighted in the series of images are Lafayette Fountain, the Olde Pink House, Ellis Square, Johnson Square and many others.

July. Gallery 209, 209 E. River St. Gallery 209 will feature the work of artists Alaine Daniel and Angela Erdy for the month of July. Daniel's work is influenced by people, places and things from the South. Vibrant colors fill her compositions primarily in watercolor. Through Sept. 2. The SCAD Museum of Art is pleased to honor America's brave servicemen and women and has announced its participation in Blue Star Museums. In collaboration with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense and museums across America, SCAD Museum of Art will offer free admission to active-duty military personnel and their families through Labor Day. York St.; Telfair Academy, 121 Barnard St.; Owens-Thomas House, 124 Abercorn St. Telfair Museums will honor active military service members and their families by offering free admission to any of the Telfair Museums from Memorial Day to Labor Day 2013. Free admission is offered as part of the Telfair's partnership with the Blue Star Museums program, which offers military families the chance to visit museums across the country free of charge this summer. Blue Star Museums is a collaboration between the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense and more than 1,800 museums across America.
