Scholarship fundraiser honoring Tricksie Turner

9 p.m. March 1. Club One, 1 Jefferson St. This drag show extravaganza is a memorial to the late, great Tricksie Turner/Tim Moore. This variety show features performers from the Club One Cabaret, Savannah Sweet Tease, House of Gunt and beyond. The show will also include a raffle to win a variety of prizes along with a karaoke competition. All proceeds will benefit the Tricksie Turner Dream in Color Scholarship fund. First Friday in Starland

The Weeping Time commemoration

9-11 a.m. March 2. Otis J. Brock III Elementary School gymnasium, 804 Stratford St. The public is invited to gather and remember the largest slave sale in recorded American history and the lives of the enslaved. A procession will walk from the school to the historic marker at Augusta Avenue and Dunn Street. Bring an umbrella to recall the rains that fell from March 2-3, 1859. Soup It Up for Loop It Up

7-10:30 p.m. March 3. Ghost Coast Distillery, 641 Indian St. Get a second serving of this signature fundraising event, in which local chefs compete for the title of the Golden Soup Bowl while raising funds to support Loop It Up Savannah. The evening will feature soup tasting, hors d'oeuvres, raffles, a children's art exhibition, live music and the soup contest. Tickets are $60 or $100 per couple at bit.ly/2CNV6gU.

Sixth annual Fit Kids Fest

1-4 p.m. March 3. Savannah State University, 3219 College St. Fit Kids Fest teaches the importance of growing a fit body and mind through a fun and interactive day designed for children of all ages and their parents. Free admission. Hosted by the Junior League of Savannah. Info at jrleaguesav.org.
