You can dance your way through the decades from 8 p.m. to midnight Jan. 11 at the Savannah Civic Center to support the 25th annual Savannah Black Heritage Festival.

Individuals, couples and groups are invited to come show their dance moves from the '60s to today. There will be door prizes, awards for best dancers, best period dress and best line dancers.

Tickets are $35 per person or $350 per table of 10. There will be no sales at the door.

Tickets must be purchased in advance at Carver State Bank or Savannah State University. You can also order individual tickets by calling 912-358-4309 or emailing heritage@savannahstate.edu.

The Savannah Black Heritage Festival is from Feb. 1-23. The theme is "Dare to Dream: Create a Legacy."

The festival offers a variety of events, such as musical and dance performances, art and photography exhibits, lectures and more.

Grand Festival Day is from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Savannah Civic Center.

This day includes an array of family-oriented activities ending with a concert featuring Savannah band A Nickel Bag of Funk, S.O.S. Band and more local acts.

All festival performances and activities are free and open to the public.
