“Warning for all conservative college students: You have the right to remain silent.”

“One of the most disgusting sites in Savannah is the trash that litters the Truman Parkway. I hope our tourists don’t have to see this! Itwould be so nice if it was all picked up before the mowers come along.”

“Republicans: If you think Putin has not infiltrated Republican computers, then I have 1,000 acres of swamp land to sell to you.”

“Dress those murdering gang members in tutus and bus them around Savannah to pick up litter. Trash taking care of trash. Perfect!”

“Nowadays it’s global warming that’s going to be our demise. Whatever happened to the hole in the ozone layer that was going to kill us all?”

“Perhaps if our new city ambassadors would stick to their job of helping tourists and alerting the police to potential crime, and not harass downtown residents by playing nanny to them (‘don’t do this, don’t do that’), they would have a greater acceptance from city taxpayers.”

“The city is complaining that they are short of collections for the water bills. My total water bills for the year are $100 more than they were last year and they haven’t read my meter.”

“The main thrust of the Savannah Serves program should be the hiring of additional off-duty police officers and then maintenance workers. The safety of residents and tourists in and out of the Historic District should be paramount. The ambassadors just add to the Disneyfication of the downtown area.”

“How will the water department collect from the people that have moved over the past year? Are they going to have to expend resources to track them down? Are they going to bill landlords?”
