Our cover story is all about the Savannah Book Festival, with events from Feb. 16-19 and the free Main Festival Day on Feb. 18. We talked to several of the authors headed to town for this year's fest. Read all about it here

If you love rock, metal and alternative music, get to Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum for A.U.R.A. Fest featuring more than a dozen bands from around the country. This all-day concert is put on by Coastal Rock Productions, which brings us alternative, all-ages shows year-round. Get the details here.

For more classic tunes, look no further than the annual American Traditions Competition, which kicks off with a Judge's Concert and several nights of competition from Feb. 20-24. There are 27 competitors this year, and since it's so tough just to be selected, audiences are surely in for a treat each night. See the full schedule here

For the ninth year, Armstrong State University's French Club brings Savannah the free Francophone Film Festival. You can enjoy a variety of French-language films, from 1950s comedies to modern dramas, from Feb. 16-18. There's even a free opening night reception featuring tasty treats like macarons and baguette sandwiches. More details here

Last but not least, take the whole family to this weekend's Savannah Irish Festival from Feb. 17-19. The Friday Night Ceili features dancing and fellowship, followed by two days of entertainment, shopping and food at the Savannah Civic Center. Read the full story here

Look for Heather's weekend preview on "The Bridge" from 11 a.m.-noon every Wednesday on WSAV-TV or catch the live stream.
