Savannah Book Festival announces headlining authors for 2017

14 Sep 2016

The Savannah Book Festival has announced the headlining authors for the 10th anniversary festival, set for Feb. 16-19, 2017, at locations throughout Savannah.

The 2017 headline authors include the opening address with James Patterson, who holds the Guinness World Record for the most No. 1 New York Times bestsellers. Patterson will return to the festival to help celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Colson Whitehead, author of the critically acclaimed "The Underground Railroad," an Oprah Book Club pick and New York Times bestseller, will give the festival’s keynote address.

Closing the festival is Christina Baker Kline, No. 1 New York Times bestselling author of "Orphan Train."

In addition to the headliners, there will be about 40 author presentations that are free and open to the public during Main Festival Day on Feb. 18, 2017. Individual tickets for headline appearances are $20 and will go on sale for LITERATI members Jan. 4, 2017, and to the general public Jan. 11, 2017.
