Avondale Apiary is the vendor of the week. It is located in Savannah's Avondale neighborhood, on the former site of the Roberds Dairy, and produces a limited supply of honey each year. Avondale Apiary is registered organic and is the only apiary in Southeast Georgia to carrycertified naturally grown credentials. They do not use any chemical pesticides or insecticides and there is no commercial use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides or insecticides within the bees' foraging radius.
Another way to support the market is the Friends of Forsyth Farmers' Market program. For a $25 donation, you get a market tote and a weekly discount card for the vendor of the week. Donations go toward the costs of running the market, such as insurance, banking fees, etc.
