My friends tell me football season kicked off last week. While that may be a tempting excuse for many of you to stay in this weekend and bask in the enchanting high-definition glow of the small-screen (isn't it funny that we still refer to TVs as "the small-screen," when they're now the biggest screen most of us encounter on a daily basis?), allow me to remind you there's no shortage of stellar sports bars in Savannah for you to watch the game while simultaneously getting outside of the house for a change, including Coach's Corner, Wild Wing Cafe and, of course, B&D Burgers on Congress Street.

If you're one of the few remaining folks like me who just can't get into football no matter how hard you try, no fears: Once again, this weekend in Savannah is chock full of fun stuff to do for just about all tastes. Up for some old-fashioned "Show and Tell" like you used to do back in grade school? The Sentient Bean has just the event for you tonight.

More of a live music person? The Bill Dawers-approved punk act "The Queers" will be taking the stage tonight at The Jinx, and the much-anticipated first-annual Revival Fest will host a whopping 12 bands on two stages starting noon Saturday.

Oh, and don't forget the 14th Annual Savannah Pride Festival, which is on track to be the second most attended LGBT pride event in the state this year, just behind the massive Atlanta Pride Festival.

So, get off the couch and take advantage of the vibrant cultural scene in Savannah this weekend, and get out and DO something. Visit the first-ever Savannah Bazaar. Sip some "honey-wine" at Savannah Bee Company's new mead tasting bar. Or go running to support your choice of local charities.

The full list of events taking place in Savannnah this weekend is almost as long as Abercorn Street itself, so to save you some time, here's your weekly "Top 10 Things to Do" list.
