The organizers behind Savannah Taste Experience food tours are launching a new boutique shopping experience focused on Savannah's unique retail offerings.

'Tiques will offer its first tours beginning at 12:30 p.m. April 11 and 12. After opening weekend, tours will be offered on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

"We realized that some of the best places to shop for uniquely Savannah items might be missed by a visitor," co-owner Stu Card said. "So with the same approach as our food tours, we set out to create an experience that would show off the sometimes hidden shopping gems in Savannah."

Tours will include stops at shops that offer handcrafted goods, including chocolates, clothing, jewelry and more.

"We've tailored this tour for women that want to come to Savannah for a mother/daughter trip, girls' getaway or bachelorette party," said Donald Card, co-owner and the other half of the entrepreneurial brother duo.

The tours will be hosted by locals; some are aspiring fashion and accessory designers themselves, and many have studied fashion at SCAD. At each stop, guests will enjoy a presentation, demonstration, sample sale or other special, behind-the-scenes opportunities.

For opening weekend tours, the code LAUNCH equals a half-price second ticket with the purchase of one full-price ticket. For all other tours in April, the code HONEYMOON will net 25 percent off a second ticket with the purchase of one full-price ticket. These walking tours last about 3 1/2 hours.
