Jan. 18

Velvet Gala

5:30-8 p.m. Jan. 18. Cohen’s Retreat, 5715 Skidaway Road. The Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire will host its Velvet Gala fundraiser featuring Ricardo Ochoa & His Gypsy Jazz Quartet, drinks, appetizers and a raffle. Holiday Extension Party

6 p.m. Jan. 21. Home of Lynne and Charles Davis. The American Traditions Vocal Competition will host its Holiday Extension Party with a performance by ATC artistic director and 2014 Gold Medal winner Mikki Sodergren. The night includes a buffet, desserts, wine and beer. Proceeds benefit the ATC’s education initiative. Celebration of Love Gala

6 p.m. Feb. 2. The Landings Plantation Club on Skidaway Island. The Park Place Outreach Youth Emergency Shelter will host its 2018 Celebration of Love Gala to commemorate its 33rd anniversary on Feb. 2. Dinner and a silent auction begin at 6 p.m. The night features Kristin King on harp and Sinisa Ciric on violin, along with a recognition/award ceremony. Proceeds help the shelter provide services to at-risk youth and their families. Tickets are $125 at parkplaceeyes.org.

Masquerade Ball

6-10 p.m. Feb. 3. Savannah Station, 601 Cohen St. The Junior League of Savannah will host its annual Masquerade Ball featuring live music, a jewelry pull, wine pull and silent and live auctions. Gray’s Reef Founder’s Party

6-8 p.m. Feb. 8. Jelinek Creative Spaces, 220 W. Bay St. Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary Foundation Founder’s Party kicks off the annual film festival, which is from Feb. 9-11. The night includes heavy hors d'oeuvres, wine and beer. Speakers will discuss the work of Gray's Reef. Tickets are $75 at graysreefnmsf.org

Hearts for Healing Gala

6:30 p.m. Feb. 9. Tybee Island Wedding Chapel, 1114 U.S. 80. Faith Equestrian Therapeutic Center will host its second annual Hearts for Healing Gala with dinner, dancing, silent auction and live music. Proceeds help provide therapeutic horse riding and other activities for individuals with disabilities. Tickets are $150 or $125 per person for a table of eight at faithetc.org.

A Taste of the Classics

6:30 p.m. Feb. 16, The Mansion on Forsyth Park, 700 Drayton St. Veritas Academy will host A Taste of the Classics featuring music by The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra and Veritas Academy’s students, live auction, hors d’oeuvres and raffle games. The Best is Yet to Come!

3-6 p.m. Feb. 25. Brockington Hall, 213 E. Hall St. Celebrate the future of the Davenport House Museum (which began Savannah’s preservation movement) with a performance by Savannah baritone Roger Moss and other musicians along with a silent auction. Proceeds support programs, preservation and community outreach. Cost is $95 at davenporthousemuseum.org.

Feb. 27-28

Broadway on Skidaway

6 p.m. Feb. 27-28. The Landings, Plantation Ballroom. Rotary Club of Skidaway Island presents its annual charitable event, Broadway on Skidaway, a new supper club-style performance by the Savannah Theatre group. Cash bar and buffet is at 6 p.m. with performance at 7 p.m. This event supports the Savannah Early Childhood Foundation and other local children’s charities. Tickets are $125 per person.
