Record number of James Beard Foundation chefs set for Savannah Food & Wine Festival Celebrity Chef Tour Dinner

The Savannah Food & Wine Festival’s premier event, the James Beard Foundation Celebrity Chef Tour Dinner, features a record seven James Beard Foundation award-winning and/or nominated guest chefs participating this year. Four of the nationally acclaimed chefs were either born and raised in New Orleans or began their culinary careers there.

The festival has also announced a new location at Cohen's Retreat for the Nov. 9 event. In addition to the culinary talent, several renowned winemakers, master sommeliers and more will be participating.

 

The seven guest celebrity chefs (all James Beard Foundation award-winning or nominated) include:

John Currence, City Grocery Restaurant Group, Oxford, Miss.

Sue Zemanick, Ivy Restaurant and Gautreau's Restaurant, New Orleans

Ryan Prewitt, Pêche Seafood Grill, New Orleans

Kelly English, Restaurant Iris and The Second Line, Memphis

Michael Ginor, Hudson Valley Foie Gras, Ferndale, N.Y.

Celebrity Chef Tour tickets can be purchased at www.savannahfoodandwinefestival.com for $185 per person, two tickets for $325 or four tickets for $600. Sponsor tables of 10 include a private Champagne reception and VIP meet and greet with the chefs and winemakers.
