Art Garfunkel has added a second Savannah show to his upcoming tour. He is set to perform on Feb. 14 and 15 at Dollhouse Studios/Productions, 980 Industry Drive. A multiple Grammy award-winning singer, poet, actor, and songwriter, Garfunkel is embarking on a solo acoustic tour in early 2014. Limited to only 250 tickets, Feb. 14's "An Intimate Evening with Art Garfunkel" will consist of songs from both past and present, anecdotes, prose and a unique audience Q&A session. Garfunkel earned five Grammy awards and legions of fans as part Simon & Garfunkel. The duo created a string of hits through the early 1970s, including "Bridge Over Troubled Water," "The Boxer," "Cecilia," "Mrs. Robinson" and "Sound of Silence." After they disbanded, both went on to solo careers, but were inducted as a duo into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. Some of Garfunkel's best known songs as a solo artist include "All I Know," "Bright Eyes" and "A Heart in New York". In recent years, a 34-song retrospective titled "The Singer" was released encompassing the brilliance of his solo career and as a duo with Paul Simon as Simon and Garfunkel. Garfunkel is set to play songs from both the past and present. Hits like "Sound of Silence" and "Scarborough Fair" will be among this intimate set in between stories and prose. Tickets for the Feb. 14 show are available here. Tickets for the Feb. 15 show are not yet available. Doors will open at 7 p.m. for the event start time at 8 p.m. Anyone arriving after the start of the show may only be seated at an appropriate time between songs.
