It's like two shows in one.
On July 4, "Equinox Orchestra: Tybee Island Swings!" will feature the Fabulous Equinox Orchestra in concert at the Tybee Post Theater. After the concert, the orchestra will lead the audience in a New Orleans-style march to the beach for fireworks.
"It's going to be a fantastic salute to our veterans and ex-military," says vocalist Clay Johnson. "We'll have the 11-piece band in the Tybee Post Theater and do a huge show with the greatest hits of our catalogue and the catalogue of America.
"We'll close it out with a big New Orleans-style second-line parade down to the beach," he says. "There will be fireworks on the Fourth."
The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra is known for its patriotic concerts.
"When we first moved to Savannah 11 years ago, we used to do the concert in the Lucas Theatre," says orchestra leader Jeremy Davis. "We did it for four or five years or so."
Then the orchestra was invited to perform at The Cloister on Sea Island.
"We did it for years out there, too," Davis says. "Then this opportunity came along and we decided to bring the party back to the Savannah area, Tybee specifically."
"It was time for us to bring this back to the Savannah area," Johnson says. "Folks can expect to see what they did if they came to the Lucas show that we did five years ago, but better and more polished and bigger and brighter.
"And we've got the best of the best onstage with us," he says. "We're committed to having an excellent show."
The concert will feature a wide range of music.
"It will be a mix of really fun patriotic music," Davis says. "One of my favorites that we do is the Armed Forces Salute where we play through all the armed forces melodies and honor all the veterans by playing all the different themes of the different service branches.
"It's also spiked with great swinging things everyone loves," he says. "All the stuff people love from that show - we try to bring all the elements into it."
Then there's the New Orleans-style parade.
"The parade out the door was something people really loved at the Lucas," Davis says. "We'll make it even better by marching off the stage, down the aisle and leading the entire audience out the theater across the road down to the beach for perfect seating for the fireworks."
The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra performed its first show at the Post earlier this year for Mardi Gras.
"It sold out," Johnson says. "It was so much fun. It's a small place, but it was amazing.
"The Tybee people came out and supported us and it was wonderful. That is a great little venue. They've done so much to revive it and bring it back to the way it originally was," he says. "They've done renovations in there and it's really fantastic."
The show is a benefit for the Sua Sponte Foundation, which provides immediate support to the warriors and families of the 1st Ranger Battalion.

"They do a great job of helping families by very quickly responding to their needs," Johnson says. "They're local and available. We're just thrilled to get to do this show and raise money to go to that foundation."
"Sua Sponte is the perfect beneficiary," Davis says. "When something, God forbid, happens to one of those guys, they come to the rescue. They do good work, hard work, messy work.
"All the money raised is going to stay locally," he says. "It's not going out of town. Folks can know their money is going to a good cause."
The patriotic concert is sure to have something for everyone.
"It really is back by popular demand," Davis says. "It's a great show in a really cool theater with a really cool after party on the beach, with the greatest beneficiary we've ever had the pleasure to work with."
