The Downtown Delilahs are back in action after getting some national exposure (pun intended) through a feature on The Travel Channel.
"Hot & Bothered" will be presented at Carnival Bar Theatre (inside House of Mata Hari) for the next three weekends.
Troupe leader Jade Bills said The Travel Channel came to Savannah in October to film an episode of "Trip Flip." The group performed a show for one of the segments and three of the Delilahs were featured in the episode.
The filming made Bills even more excited for the Delilahs' upcoming plans.
"I've had many dreams for our troupe and to have them come to life so quickly gives me so much confidence for the future!" she said. "Having our troupe on the Travel Channel means that people from all over who come to visit Savannah will remember Mata Hari and The Downtown Delilahs.
"Hopefully they will make Mata Hari their No. 1 stop while they are enjoying all the wonderful things that our beautiful city has to offer."
Plans include more local shows, private parties and stages beyond Savannah.
"I plan to continue doing our show at Mata Hari on a regular basis, but we also plan to branch out into other areas," Bills said. "I would also like to take the troupe traveling to perform in other places, starting with Atlanta and surrounding Savannah areas."
