Savannah's burgeoning T-shirt company 13 Bricks Clothing has catapulted from its urban art roots to Hollywood status in just a matter of weeks.
On Tuesday, the company took to Facebook to officially announce its affiliation with the production of "Magic Mike XXL," currently filming in Savannah and on Tybee Island.
"The film's production assistant, Dee, reached out to us," said 13 Bricks marketing director Jared Jackson. "Someone had recommended us to them; actually a couple of people recommended us to them."
"It was a pretty simple job," said Jackson.
A few weeks ago, the film crew contacted 13 Bricks with a design they were looking to have printed onto T-shirts.
"They pretty much had the design they were looking for," said Jackson, "we just provided the printing services."
Photos released on justjared.com from the set of "Magic Mike" show one of the shirts with a logo for Mike Lane Custom Designs. And who better to be pictured modeling the shirt than the film's leading actor and People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive 2012 Channing Tatum?
In what is expected to be an otherwise shirtless performance, Tatum is seen lifting heavy furniture in the shirt while filming along Whitaker Street near Moon River Brewing Co. on Monday.
According to a news release from Warner Bros. Pictures, "Magic Mike XXL" takes place three years after the first film and follows Mike (Tatum) and the rest of his old crew (Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez and Gabriel Iglesias) on a road trip from Tampa, Fla., to Myrtle Beach, S.C., for one last blow-out performance.
The film, due to be released on July 1, 2015, will also star Elizabeth Banks, Donald Glover, Amber Heard, Andie MacDowell, Jada Pinkett Smith and Michael Strahan, according to the news release.

"We are really excited over here," Jackson said of the company's new Hollywood clientele. "And we're in talks for printing another shirt for them," he added.
The new partnership spotlights a series of successes for 13 Bricks this year, including the grand opening of the Keystone Gallery, a print/retail shop and art gallery at 627 E. Broad St.
"We're doing really well," Jackson said. "Commercial stuff is picking up. We've got our fall line coming soon. We're staying busy, that's for sure."Post by 13 Bricks Clothing.
