A local Savannah band working on their first album after a series of tours last year, McLeod has a sound that's a little Pink Floyd, a little Radiohead and a little Atlanta Rhythm Section. Composed of Thomas Bowl (vocals), Benjamin Thompson (guitar), Josh Cook (bass) and Fred Tkach (drummer), they've spent two years working on their first album, hoping to have it out by the end of the year.

With a fairly small body of work available, what they're sharing online - "Soul Rise," "Bathysphere" and "Blue-Eyed Jesus" - has a great progressive rock tone that sets them apart from the "indie rock" label that frequently gets tossed around with small bands like this. Savannah Stopover might get them some deserved attention.
