Insane Inflatable 5K: 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m April 14; Hunter Army Airfield; $57-$79 at Experience a fun run on a course filled with the world’s largest and most extreme inflatable obstacles.

Charity fashion show: 7 p.m. April 14; Savannah State University, Student Union Ballroom; $30-$40 at 912-596-5554 or Future Minds Literacy and Adult Education Inc. and Phi Beta Sigma fraternity host the fourth annual spring fashion show, “Flight 414: Clear the Runway.” Proceeds help fund community outreach and education. See original clothing by local designers; silent auction. Red carpet at 7 p.m. and show at 8 p.m.


April 17

Kwame Alexander book reading, signing: 5 p.m. April 17; Southwest Chatham Library, 14097 Abercorn St.; free; 912-925-8305, Bestselling author, poet and educator Kwame Alexander will present his newest work, “Rebound,” as well as “The Crossover,” his Newbery award-winning sports novel written in verse. The “Rebound” rock-star tour bus will be there, too.

Tied & Tasseled’s Cosplay Nerdlesque Show: 9 p.m. April 19; Club One, 1 Jefferson St.; $10 ages 21 and older or $15 ages 18-20; Savannah’s fetish cabaret brings its third annual burlesque show inspired by cartoons, comics, movies, video games and anime. Best cosplay costume contest.
