If you need a night of laughs, you'll want to check out the popular Platinum Comedy Tour featuring comedians Mike Epps, DeRay Davis, Michael Blackson, Tony Rock and Earthquake. The event takes place at 8 p.m. April 28 at the Savannah Civic Center.
The tour has already made several sold-out stops across the country and features some of the biggest names in comedy.
Superstar Mike Epps will headline the show. He is best known for films "Next Friday," "The Honeymooners" and "How High" as well as his role in the Def Comedy Jam tours and television specials.
Comedian-turned-actor DeRay Davis is from the south side of Chicago and most recently starred opposite Taraji P. Henson as her hitman and cousin Jermel in the hit show "Empire."
Michael Blackson is known as the "African King of Comedy." His breakout role in "Next Friday" kicked off his successful comedy career. He went on to be featured in BET’s ComicView series, HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, Showtime at Harlem and Live in Hollywood.
Tony Rock, younger brother to comedian Chris Rock, appeared in the film "Think Like a Man," based on Steve Harvey's 2009 book "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man" and also served as host of "Apollo Live" on BET.
Nathaniel "Earthquake" Stroman is a comedian, actor and voice artist who is best known for his recurring role as Uncle Mike on the hit television show "Everybody Hates Chris" and voicing the role of Root the Rooster in the animated film, "Barnyard."
