"Gypsy Blanchard, how do you plead?"

The first, full trailer for Hulu's "The Act" was released online on Monday with a more far-ranging portrait of the story of Gypsy Blanchard and her mother. Played by Joey King and Patricia Arquette, the series filmed in the Savannah and Effingham County areas over the past few months, including the structure used as their house which caused a stir while filming was taking place.

The official synopsis is:

The Act is a seasonal anthology series that tells startling, stranger-than-fiction true crime stories. The first season follows Gypsy Blanchard, a girl trying to escape the toxic relationship she has with her overprotective mother. Her quest for independence opens a Pandora’s box of secrets, one that ultimately leads to murder.

Arquette appeared on "The Ellen Show" last week and talked about preparing for the show and how the story really keeps you on the edge of your seat. "The end of the story keeps twisting and turning, how this girl adopts to survive and the choices that she makes becomes it's own story," she said.

"The Act" premieres on Hulu on March 20.

Nothing is as it seems.
