Welcome to the club, Chowhound.

The food and travel website learned what people in Savannah has known for more than 200 years — St. Patrick's Day is a big deal. The site highlighted some of the places to eat, drink and stay while you're visiting Savannah for the festival, and most are staples for locals and visitors alike.

To eat, they direct people to Moss & Oak Savannah Eatery, 700 Drayton and the Olde Pink House, which is always a nice spot but is currently closed until April. For a drink, they mention The Rail Pub, Top Deck and Treylor Park, which is also a nice spot for food as well, according to some travel shows.

According to the website, 700 Drayton is "a stunning dining destination" while Top Deck "provide(s) gorgeous views of the festivities on River Street" after the parade.

As for finding a fun time during Savannah St. Patrick's Day, naturally they direct people to the parade but for those looking for entertainment afterwards, the website says check out River Street — which has already set rules for this year's festival — City Market, Forsyth Park and the Perry Lane Hotel Rooftop Lounge.
