Once again, Savannah is doubling as Galveston, Texas.

The first trailer for "The Poison Rose" was released on Wednesday, which filmed in Savannah last year. Directed by Francesco Cinquemani, George Gallo and Luca Giliberto, the movie stars John Travolta, Morgan Freeman, Famke Janssen, Brendan Fraser, Peter Stormare, Ella Bleu Travolta, Kat Graham, Robert Patrick, Nadine Lewington, and Nick Vallelonga. Here is the official synopsis:

John Travolta plays Carson Philips, a hard-drinking Los Angeles private eye who takes a case in his old hometown of Galveston, Texas. While searching for a missing woman, Philips must confront a crime boss (Morgan Freeman), a shady doctor (Brendan Fraser), a sexy club singer (Kat Graham), his former lover (Famke Janssen) -- as well as his own dark, disturbing past.

The filming in Savannah required a number of background actors, including "pretty women in classy casino attire" and a "photo double" of Morgan Freeman.

"The Poison Rose" will open in select theaters and be available on-demand on May 24.
