Who would think a New York deli favorite would make it big in Savannah, Georgia?

Bon Appétit highlighted Savannah's The Grey Market and their chopped liver sandwich as part of their "Highly Recommend" column recently, saying that this menu item isn't one to miss. According to the column, "liver rarely gets a day in the sun" but the one at The Grey Market is "a perfectly executed chopped liver on rye with a side of crunchy pickle." The magazine mentions that The Grey Market "created a very-adorable-but-not-to-the-point-of-being-saccharine market/eatery that falls somewhere between New York deli and southern diner, making good on both her NYC roots and Georgia heritage in one spot."

An extension of The Grey, The Grey Market works like a New York City bodega — offering the odds-and-ends someone may be looking for along with the high-level food fans of its parent restaurant are familiar with.
