While most people are infatuated with the movie stars strutting the red carpet on Broughton Street or the host of various award-vying films playing at this year's SCAD Savannah Film Festival, one of the more interesting beats of this year's festival is technology that could become a part of the normal movie-going experience sooner rather than later.

Voyager: A Cinematic VR Experience is offering free demonstrations to anyone interested in experiencing a variety of movies and adjacent media, including "Dunkirk," "How to Train Your Dragon" and "It." Definition6 expert-in-residence Frank Radice and Paramount Pictures futurist Ted Schilowitz speak on what visitors to the Voyager will experience and how this will influence the future of the movies.

Learn more about Voyager and reserve a slot at filmfest.scad.edu. The set-up runs through the entire festival, ending on Nov. 2.
