Embarking on its 13th season, the Savannah Book Festival announced the authors scheduled to present the Opening and Keynote Addresses for the 2020 Savannah Book Festival,according to a press release from the Savannah Book Festival. The festival is scheduled to take place Feb. 13-16, 2020.
Bestselling author Joseph Kanon will deliver the Opening Address on Thursday, Feb. 13, following the release of his latest novel, The Accomplice. He is the author of eight other novels including Los Alamos, which won the Edgar Award for best first novel and The Good German, which was made into a film with George Clooney and Cate Blanchett.
Kanon is also a recipient of The Anne Frank Human Writers Award for his writings on the aftermath of the Holocaust. Before becoming a full-time writer, Kanon was a book-publishing executive.
John Grisham will present the Keynote Address on Friday, February 14 following the release of his latest novel, The Guardians. He is the author of thirty-three novels, one work of nonfiction, a collection of stories, and six novels for young readers.
Tickets for the headliner addresses will go on sale to the public on January 13, 2020. Presale for LITERATI members is January 6, 2020 .
The Savannah Book Festival on Saturday, Feb. 15, is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.. The festival will feature 45 authors in locations in and around Telfair, Wright and Chippewa Squares in Savannah’s Historic District.
