If you’ve stopped at this Habersham Street eatery before, you’re ahead of the curve, according to Yelp.

The user-generated restaurant review site released their list of the top-100 places to eat in 2020 with Savannah’s own Fox & Fig earning a spot. Other Georgia restaurants on the list included The Local Wood Fired Grill in Alpharetta and Jackie M’s & Son in Augusta.

According to the site, “Yelp’s data science team pulled the top restaurants by ratings and number of reviews in 2019 across the U.S., with representation based on each place’s share of top-rated restaurants nationally, then curated the list with the expertise of our Community Managers around the country to finalize the rankings.”

Fox & Fig opened in 2017 and joined other Foxy Family restaurants around Savannah, including Foxy Loxy Print Gallery and Café, The Coffee Fox, Henny Penny Art Space & Café and the newly opened Coffee Fox Louisville.

In a 2018 City Talk column, Bill Dawers said Fox & Fig “seems to be capitalizing on a variety of local trends with its focus on vegan dishes, moderate prices and satisfying but not huge portions.” He added that he has “already eaten three meals at the café, and I anticipate many more visits in the future.”
