A Savannah music staple will be closing its doors.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, The Jinx announced that it would be shutting its doors on Saturday, July 11, after nearly 17 years of providing live music and other shows for Savannah.
"We had a great run in this space, and couldn’t be more proud of it. When one door closes, another opens. And maybe we can even find a place that we love more, the world is full of possibilities," the Facebook post stated.
The post goes on to say that the owners are hoping to find another space to become the new home for the music venue, adding that their lease was set to run up at the end of the year and plans to move were already in motion.
"We cannot ever express enough gratitude to all of you, and again, we aren’t going anywhere," the post continued. "Just think of it as us going away on tour for a bit, we will be back! Our hearts are broken with you so let’s all lean on each other while we evolve."
The Jinx is currently open in a limited capacity until July 11, and asked fans of the establishment to send them a note at email@example.com.
