As production on a feature film in Richmond Hill gets underway, another casting call has been issued for locals looking to grab some background work.


The latest casting call is for paid background roles with an emphasis on Latinx and African-American actors. The roles are open exclusively to local actors with those applying needing to be residents of the Savannah or Richmond Hill area – no one with a drive of over an hour and 10 minutes will be scheduled, according to the notice.


The film is called "Alice" and stars Keke Palmer as "a woman in servitude in 1800s Georgia, who escapes her captor to discover the shocking reality that exists beyond the tree line — it’s 1973," according to The Hollywood Reporter. Common and Jonny Lee Miller also star in the movie.


The pay rate is $85/8 and the scenes that the actors are needed for take place in the 1970s, according to the casting call. The open call for the roles is Sunday.

According to the casting notice, women submitting for roles should not have wigs, extensions, false lashes or nails, and no nail polish. Dress size is up to size 10 only while waist size is up to 32 and bust size is 36C. The measurements must be from the navel and not below the navel.


Men should provide their dress, waist and shoe sizes.


The three photos needed for submission include: Full length, chest up and waist up.

The casting call also mentioned that a COVID-19 test will be administered prior to filming and on each day of shooting.
